How Long Does a Kitchen Respray Take? What to Expect

Most professional kitchen resprays are completed in just 4–6 working days. Here's a day-by-day breakdown of what to expect. For preparation tips, see our guide on preparing your kitchen for a respray.

    Day 1: Preparation

We remove all cabinet doors, drawer fronts, and hardware. Every surface is masked and protected, then cleaned, degreased, and sanded.

    Day 2: Priming

We apply specialist bonding primer using HVLP spray equipment. This is especially critical for laminate cabinets.

    Days 3–4: Spray Application

Multiple coats of factory-grade coating are applied. Each coat cures before the next. The result is a smooth, even finish — identical to a factory kitchen.

Day 5: Final Coats & Curing

Final topcoats are applied. Your choice of matt, satin, or gloss finish may affect whether additional coats are needed.

Day 6: Inspection, Refitting & Handover

Every surface is inspected under strong light. Hardware is reinstalled and you receive your 5-year guarantee. Read our aftercare guide to keep your finish perfect.

    Factors That Affect Timeline

Larger kitchens (16+ units) or complex designs may take an extra day. We confirm the exact timeline during your free consultation.
