Your kitchen has been professionally resprayed and looks stunning. Now here's how to keep it that way for years to come.
The First 2 Weeks: Be Gentle
Although your resprayed cabinets will feel dry and hard when we hand them over, the coating continues to cure for approximately 2 weeks. During this period:
- Avoid heavy scrubbing or abrasive cleaners
- Don't attach anything to the painted surfaces (magnets, sticky hooks)
- Close doors gently — avoid slamming
- If anything spills on the surface, wipe it off promptly with a soft cloth
Ongoing Cleaning
After the 2-week curing period, cleaning is simple:
- Daily: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Warm water is usually all you need.
- Weekly: Use a mild washing-up liquid solution and a soft cloth. Rinse and dry.
- Avoid: Bleach, abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, and acetone-based products. These can damage the finish.
Handle With Care
New kitchen handles help protect your finish — they give you a grip point so you're not touching the painted surface directly with greasy or dirty fingers.
