How to Prepare Your Kitchen for a Professional Respray

Your kitchen respray is booked — exciting! Here's a simple guide to getting your kitchen ready, so the process runs as smoothly as possible.

    1. Clear Your Worktops

Remove all appliances, utensils, and decorative items from your worktops. We'll mask everything, but clearing the surfaces gives us the best access and protects your belongings.

    2. Empty the Draining Board & Sink Area

Keep the area around your sink clear. We need access to adjacent cabinets and will be masking worktops thoroughly.

    3. Remove Items from Inside Cabinets (Optional)

We only spray external surfaces — your cabinet interiors stay untouched. However, if you have delicate items or food inside cabinets near the spray zone, consider covering or moving them.

    4. Think About Colour

Haven't decided on a colour yet? Browse our top 10 kitchen cabinet colours for 2026 or our Farrow & Ball picks. Considering a two-tone design? We can help with that too.

    5. Consider New Hardware

A kitchen respray is the perfect time to upgrade your kitchen handles. New hardware can completely transform the look. See our hardware replacement service.

    6. Plan Your Meals

Your kitchen will be partially accessible during the 4–6 day respray process, but you may want to plan simpler meals or use a microwave in another room for a couple of days.

    What We Take Care Of

You don't need to worry about removing doors, masking surfaces, or any preparation — that's all part of our full kitchen respray service. We handle everything.
